The Why Behind Precision Performance & Physical Therapy

Like many business owners, every New Year I sit down and think about my business. I think about what went well, where improvements can be made and where are we going. This year has been no different. As I was looking at all that my amazing team at Precision has done over the last several years I was inspired to re-visit WHY I started Precision in the first place. I wanted to make sure my why and the why of our clinic still aligned - whoa, it still does but with some much needed revisions that reflect, integrate and capture where we truly are today vs when we started in 2015. I hope you enjoy.

The Precision Performance Team of Physical Therapists at The Fast Bananas Trail Race in Serenbe 2024 (Noelle, Elizabeth, Kate & Kacy)

Precision Performance and Physical Therapy was founded to set a new standard—not just in the care of runners, but in creating a community where employees, clients, and the broader running world feel valued, supported, and inspired. Our purpose is rooted in two core pillars: empowering our team to thrive and building a holistic, innovative approach to runner-specific care while making a meaningful impact in the running community.

For Our Team

At Precision, we believe that exceptional care starts with an exceptional team. Our clinic is a place where employees are mentored, supported, and empowered to grow professionally while fostering an environment of innovation and excellence. We are committed to ensuring that every team member feels heard, valued, and inspired to bring their best every day.

This isn’t just a job—it’s a shared mission to redefine what care looks like for runners. By mentoring our staff and fostering collaboration, we create a culture where everyone contributes to advancing the field of running-focused physical therapy.

For Runners

Runners are unique, and so is our approach to their care. At Precision, we understand that treating runners requires more than addressing their injuries—it requires a deep understanding of their physical, mental, and emotional needs. Our holistic philosophy integrates biomechanics, mental health, and recovery, while emphasizing interdisciplinary collaboration with nutritionists, medical doctors, coaches, and other experts.

We are more than a clinic—we’re partners in every runner’s journey. Whether someone is recovering from an injury, chasing a new personal best, or simply striving to run pain-free, our mission is to ensure they feel heard, understood, and empowered to achieve their goals.

For the Running Community

Our commitment to the running community goes far beyond the walls of our clinic. We are proud to play an active role in fostering and growing the running ecosystem in Atlanta and beyond. Some of the ways we contribute include:

  • Participating in cutting-edge running research, advancing the science and understanding of how to better treat runners and prevent injuries.

  • Teaching other healthcare providers how to treat runners effectively, sharing our expertise to elevate the standard of care across the field.

  • Collaborating with the Atlanta Track Club Elite multidisciplinary team to support elite runners in achieving peak performance.

  • Partnering with Atlanta Track Club In-Training programs to guide and educate runners at all levels.

  • Volunteering at local races, cheering on participants, and providing hands-on care when needed.

  • Speaking to schools, running camps, and community groups to inspire and educate the next generation of runners.

  • Serving as passionate runners ourselves, staying connected to the community we serve.

Through these efforts, we aim to be more than a service provider—we strive to be a trusted resource, a source of inspiration, and an integral part of the running world.

Our Mission in Action

Precision Performance and Physical Therapy is here to transform lives. We are dedicated to helping runners and employees alike feel valued, supported, and empowered to achieve their goals. By mentoring our team, advancing runner-specific care, contributing to research, and educating other healthcare providers, we aim to leave a legacy that goes far beyond physical therapy.

From partnering with elite teams to leading research, teaching others, and volunteering in our community, we are committed to uplifting the running community as a whole. Precision is more than a clinic—it’s a hub for connection, collaboration, and growth. Together, we’re not just treating injuries; we’re shaping the future of running.
